CEC Advocates Send 25,000 Letters to Congress

Over the past two weeks, CEC advocates have come together to collectively advocate for programs that support and improve the education of infants, toddlers, children, and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents. In a unified voice, tens of thousands of advocates have voiced opposition to proposals and actions that pose a threat to the populations special educators serve. The volume of engagement through the CEC Legislative Action Center is record-breaking. Let’s maintain this momentum and continue to make our voices heard.

If you have engaged with our Legislative Action Center, thank you! Please spread the word! Share this message, share our social media posts, or share a link to our webpage [link, again]. Our advocacy is available to anyone, regardless of CEC membership, and the louder our message is, the stronger we are.

If you have not had a chance to weigh in, whether in support of annual funding for Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) programs, or in opposition to cuts to research, moving IDEA to the Health and Human Services Department, voucher proposals, or threats to Section 504, now’s your chance! It only takes a moment.

Take Action
